I live here and I can tell you it is a great experience if you are looking for good fun, bad fun and beach beauty and relaxing rest. You can. So it's been about 10 years since I last went to Cancun. Back then there were no issues with seaweed or violent crime. The only thing in Cancun worth seeing is the airport since it's a good place (cheap) to fly in and out. There's a lot to see and do within a few hours bus ride.
